Brief Biographical Statement:

I began my art studies in 1985 and continued through 1988. From 1988 to 2001, I was involved in obtaining education and establishing my career in psychology. With the career established to my satisfaction by 2001, I have been able to return to the practice of art as an important part of my life. I am currently a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as my main profession. I am working on correlating psychology and art as a means of self development and life enrichment. My use of symbolism is strongly influenced by my study of the works of Carl Jung. My use of abstract compositions is a direct result of teaching art and encouraging my students to be more free with their expression. I decided this was good advice and developed my own style using a glazing technique.

I Work in Four Main Styles:
Two and three dimensional abstract compositions featuring oil, metal leaf, and wood.
Oil on canvas or masonite, creating representational symbolism.

ARTISTIC VENTURES

Artisitic Ventures was started in 2004 by Pamela Fansler.  The term "ventures" was chosen when work was started with the metal leaf as a main part of the composition in the abstract paintings.  From there, other new ventures have been developed, culminating at this time in the abstract painting of the furniture.   The goal is to continue in new directions, or, ventures.

SUSPENSION ART

I became fascinated in working with wires, old metal and other objects near the end of 2011.  It has the flavor of "Found Objects Art," but I have not seen anything else out there like it.  Due to this, I decided it needed a new name to describe it.  As most the work is suspended above the surface by wires, in one form or another, Suspension Art seemed to describe it the best.  Thus, Suspension Art is born.
